The Charlie Young Foundation proudly welcomed 55 students for an exciting and educational learning experience through Charlie AgriTours, our innovative project that takes learning beyond the classroom and into the world of modern agriculture.

The visit gave students a unique opportunity to experience farming firsthand, interact with agricultural professionals, and discover how agriculture is evolving into a sector driven by innovation, technology, entrepreneurship, and sustainability.

Learning by Doing

At Charlie AgriTours, we believe that practical experiences inspire deeper learning. During the tour, students explored different areas of modern farming and gained valuable insights into how agriculture contributes to food security, environmental conservation, and economic development.

The participants were introduced to practical farming techniques and learned how agriculture creates employment opportunities while addressing some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

The interactive sessions encouraged students to ask questions, observe real-life farming practices, and connect classroom knowledge with practical applications.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Agripreneurs

One of the key objectives of Charlie AgriTours is to inspire young people to view agriculture as a career filled with opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship.

By exposing students to successful agricultural practices and modern technologies, we hope to nurture future farmers, agribusiness leaders, researchers, and innovators who will help shape the future of agriculture in Kenya.

Every visit reinforces our belief that today’s learners can become tomorrow’s changemakers.

Beyond the Classroom

Charlie AgriTours is more than a farm visit—it is an experiential learning programme that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, and environmental responsibility.

Through guided tours and practical demonstrations, participants gain a better understanding of the agricultural value chain while appreciating the important role agriculture plays in feeding communities and strengthening economies.

A Commitment to Youth Empowerment

As a flagship project of the Charlie Young Foundation, Charlie AgriTours reflects our commitment to empowering young people with knowledge, practical skills, and opportunities that prepare them for the future.

We believe that exposing learners to agriculture at an early age helps build confidence, unlock potential, and inspire innovative solutions to local and global challenges.

Join Charlie AgriTours

We invite schools, colleges, universities, youth groups, corporate organisations, and community institutions to experience Charlie AgriTours.

Together, we can inspire more young people to embrace agriculture, discover new opportunities, and become leaders in building sustainable and food-secure communities.
